Thanks for taking the time to open this month's newsletter.
Lately, I've been noticing how easy it is to rush through life without really seeing what's happening inside me. This month's reflection grew out of that realization, and perhaps it'll meet you where you are, too.

There is a strange assumption many of us carry into the Christian life.
We assume that if God wants to teach us something, He'll make it obvious. A dramatic answer to prayer. A life-changing sermon. An unmistakable sign.
Sometimes He does.
But more often, I think God's work is quieter than that. It happens in the ordinary moments we usually rush past.
A conversation that lingers in our minds longer than we expected. An emotion we can't seem to shake. A verse we've read a hundred times that suddenly feels personal. A child asking an innocent question. The sunrise we almost missed because we were already thinking about tomorrow.

A PRAYER
Father,
Slow my hurried heart. Teach me to recognize Your presence in ordinary moments and to hear Your voice above the noise of my own distractions.
Give me eyes to see what You are doing, ears to hear what You are saying, and the courage to stay present instead of rushing ahead.
May I become the kind of person who walks through life with open eyes and an attentive heart.
Amen.
