When Your Emotions Feel Chaotic

Hi Reader,

I’ve been reflecting this week on how the Bible opens, not with calm, order, or perfection, but with chaos. Darkness. Deep waters. A world that feels unformed and overwhelming.

And God doesn’t run from it.
He speaks into it.
He shapes it.
He brings order, beauty, and life out of it.

I think our emotional world often mirrors that picture more than we realize.

Fear that rises without permission.
Sadness that lingers.
Anxiety that swirls.
Anger that surprises us.

None of that means we’re failing. It simply means we’re human and that God is inviting us into the same work He modeled in Genesis:

bringing order out of chaos.

Every time we pause instead of react…
Every time we quiet our body…
Every time we reconnect with God’s presence…
We reflect the God who brings structure from disorder.

I wrote a short reflection on this idea, especially how emotional maturity becomes a sacred act of creation. If your inner world has felt unsettled lately, I think it may encourage you.
